TRANSPORT GUIDE
Pet Transport from Arizona to Ohio
Planning pet transport from Arizona to Ohio starts with the people responsible for the two handoffs. One person may arrange the booking while another handles pickup or delivery. Elite Pet Transportation needs accurate contact details and actual addresses to review the journey. The service is based in Akron and accepts nationwide requests, but this page is a route-planning resource, not confirmation that a particular date or seat is available.
Arizona pickup instructions should identify the real location, especially when the nearest well-known city is not the actual address. A home in Queen Creek, an apartment in Phoenix, and a pickup outside Flagstaff create different road-route and access considerations. Add gate codes or meeting instructions where appropriate, and make sure the pickup contact knows how to reach the Owner. Do not substitute a convenient ZIP code for the location where the pet will actually be released.
Choosing and planning your trip
At the Ohio destination, decide who can receive the animal if your own move or travel is delayed. Confirm the delivery name and phone number before scheduling. A recipient who is working, moving furniture, or collecting keys may need advance coordination. Describe any firm restrictions when requesting the quote rather than assuming the driver can arrive at an exact time chosen independently of the reviewed transport plan.
Compare Group and Private based on the type of journey you want. Group shares a planned route and uses a flexible two-to-three-day pickup window. Private is dedicated to the pets in your household. The distance base differs by service, so a Solo estimate cannot be compared with Group by looking only at one pet's size fee. Read the complete itemized total, required deposit, and remaining balance on the reviewed quote.
For pricing, the driving route between addresses selects the distance band. Group adds a fee for every pet's size and a half-base charge for each extra pet, rounded up per pet. Solo includes the first pet up to sixty pounds; a heavier first pet adds the published surcharge, and additional pets add size fees only. List the animals individually, because combining weights or leaving out a pet produces an estimate that does not describe the requested trip.
Preparing for pickup and delivery
Review local time carefully before handoff day. Most Arizona locations remain on Mountain Standard Time, while Ohio changes between Eastern Standard and Eastern Daylight Time. The difference therefore depends on the date, and some Arizona locations have their own daylight-saving considerations. Use the named zone displayed for the actual pickup and delivery location. If someone quotes a time without a zone, clarify it rather than guessing which end of the route they mean.
Prepare the health certificate, vaccination records, and verified contact information in the trip account. Make sure uploaded pages show the relevant animal and are clear enough to read. Discuss care instructions with the Owner before pickup, particularly when another person is releasing the pet. Accept the reviewed quote before paying the Square deposit, then use the trip page for the next action. The balance is due at delivery, not several days before pickup.
Published price ranges
These are single-pet ranges from the current chart, not a fixed price or a claim about this route's mileage. Group ranges run from Extra Small to 2XL. Solo ranges show the included first pet up to 60 lb and the first-pet surcharge above 60 lb. Actual driving miles between submitted addresses select the tier.
| Driving miles | Group total | Solo total |
|---|---|---|
| 0–300 mi | $370–$620 | $550–$650 |
| 301–500 mi | $400–$650 | $750–$850 |
| 501–800 mi | $525–$775 | $1,050–$1,150 |
| 801–1,100 mi | $650–$900 | $1,350–$1,450 |

| 2,001+ mi | $1,125–$1,375 | $2,250–$2,350 |
For Group, each additional pet adds its size charge plus 50% of the distance base rounded UP separately to the next whole dollar. Solo additional pets add their size charge only. See the complete pricing guide for the weight brackets and itemized rules.
Frequently asked questions
Does an Arizona-to-Ohio request book the trip immediately?
No. The Owner first reviews the request and sends the final quote. You then review and accept the terms before paying the deposit through Square. The booking is confirmed when the deposit is verified. Keep any required date or access restriction visible in the request so it can be reviewed before acceptance.
What deposit is required, and when is the balance due?
The deposit is 30% of the total, with a $150 minimum, rounded to whole dollars and never above the total. Accept your reviewed quote before paying through Square. The remaining balance is due at delivery via Square.
What happens if the trip is canceled?
If the client cancels at any time, the deposit is forfeited and no additional balance is owed for cancellation. If Elite Pet Transportation cancels, the client receives a full refund of the deposit and all other payments.
